What we've heard - October 2025

NEWS 17 November 2025

Here’s what our teams across Wales have been busy doing in the past month

We engaged with 1222 people for their views on health and social care services in Wales.

The most common topics people have wanted to talk to us about this month were:

  • Access to primary care: Difficulty booking GP appointments due to availability and booking systems, shortage of NHS dentists
  • Travelling for care: Patient transport issues, including non-emergency transport services cancellations and delays
  • Communication between services: Poor coordination within hospitals and between hospitals, GP surgeries, and patients
  • Waiting times for care: Long waits for appointments and surgery for planned care
  • Support for carers: Lack of support for carers of people living with dementia

During October,  we've engaged with 106 partners and held and attended 69 engagement activities. These include: Minority Ethnic Community Health Fair, Ageing Well Over Winter Llangefni and the Good Health Event in Dolgellau.

We've made 13 Visits to health and social care premises and made 36 representations on your behalf, making sure your feedback is used by decision makers to shape your services.

We've also been involved in 17 Service Changes and supported 1164 people via our complaints advocacy service.
