Llais Responds to Hywel Dda University Health Board’s Clinical Services Plan

REPORT 3 March 2026

Llais has submitted a detailed response to Hywel Dda University Health Board regarding its proposed Clinical Services Plan (CSP).

Our response reflects what people across West Wales, South Gwynedd and Powys have told us throughout the consultation and engagement process.

The public shared strong views about how future services should be delivered, particularly in relation to travel for care, stroke services, rural access to health treatment, and staffing challenges. People also raised concerns about the clarity and accessibility of the consultation itself.

In our letter, we highlight these key themes and ask the Health Board to consider a number of practical improvements that could be made now to better support people using local health services — regardless of the final decisions on the CSP.
