About us
We are Llais, the independent statutory body that gives people in Wales a stronger voice in health and social care.
Who we are and what we do
We believe in a healthier Wales where people get the health and social care services they need in a way that works best for them.
We listen to people's experiences, both good and bad, to understand what is working well and where services could be improved, locally, regionally and nationally. We use what people tell us to influence decisions about health and social care across Wales and help decision-makers understand what matters most to people. We work especially hard to hear from people whose voices are not always heard.
As an independent statutory body, we have a legal role in representing the views and experiences of people who use health and social care services across Wales.
We have around 100 staff and a growing network of volunteers working in communities across Wales. Together, we help ensure people's voices are heard by those responsible for planning and delivering health and social care services in Wales.
We work with Welsh Government, NHS organisations, local authorities and social care providers to help shape services and drive improvements based on what people tell us.
How we can help
If you have concerns about your health or social care, we're here to listen and help you understand your options.
We can:
- provide complaints advocacy support
- help you raise concerns about services
- explain the support available to you
- signpost you to other organisations where appropriate
If something has gone wrong with your care, you do not have to deal with it alone.
