What we do

Llais North Wales Region is here to make sure your views and experiences are used by decision-makers to plan and deliver better health and social care services in your local area.

We hear from the public in many different ways. We visit NHS and social care services to talk to patients, residents and carers.  We talk to people at public events, and through community groups.

Our Advocacy Service helps people who want to raise a concern about care or treatment.

We use surveys, apps and social media to engage with our community, and we produce reports on what we've heard.

Llais response to the NHS Wales Performance and Productivity Review and Welsh Government Action Plan

Llais welcomes the publication of the Ministerial Advisory Group’s (MAG) report on NHS Wales Performance and Productivity, and the Welsh Government’s detailed action plan in response.

We see this as an important moment for the future of health and care in Wales.

These documents set out a clear challenge for the NHS in Wales to shift from ambition to delivering, something people across Wales have been asking for.

Llais Board Assurance Framewotk

The Llais Board Assurance Framework serves to act as a key mechanism to provide the Board with confidence that the organisation is effectively working towards its strategic goals and is clear about the risks to the non-delivery of these strategic goals. It focuses on the achievement of the Llais 3-year strategy and supporting annual plans. The annual plans detail the goals and objectives for the organisation, department and teams over a 12-month period. These plans seek to bring into effect the vision of the Llais Strategy. Annual Plans will be required to be agreed by the Board by the 31 March of each year.

Raising a concern about health and social care services

When things go wrong, raising your concern can seem “a step too far” or too time-consuming, especially as it may be at a particularly difficult time.

But raising your concern in the right way is important. It can make a positive difference to others, preventing the same happening to them and ensuring our future care is better.

We can help with complaints advocacy

If you need to raise a concern about an NHS or social care service, you can talk to us. Our trained, dedicated complaints advocacy staff will provide you with the free, independent, and confidential support you are entitled to.

Get in touch with us on

or email us at [email protected]

and one of our team will talk to you about your concern, what sort of help you think you require and if you have any particular needs such as large print materials or access to someone who can sign.
