Introducing our new podcast: In Conversation With…
We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand new video podcast series from Llais - In Conversation With…
Hosted by our Chief Executive Alyson Thomas and Chair of the Board Medwin Hughes, the series brings together leading thinkers, decision-makers and voices from across Wales to explore the future of health and social care.
Turning what you told us into conversations for change
Through our Health and Social Care We Want project, we listened to people and communities across Wales about what matters most.
Now, we’re taking those insights further.
This podcast series is about doing something with what we’ve heard - opening up honest, thoughtful conversations about the challenges facing our system, and the ideas that could shape its future.
Each episode explores:
- The real experiences of people using services
- The challenges identified through the Health and Social Care We Want project
- New ideas and innovative thinking for change
Practical solutions and opportunities for improvement
Launching with two episodes
We’re launching the series with two opening episodes, featuring voices from within Llais and the wider co-production and engagement sector.
Episode 1: Who We Are and What We Do - Inside Llais
In our opening episode, Chair Medwin Hughes is joined by Strategic Director Ben Eaton to explore the role of Llais, why it was created, and how we work on behalf of people and communities across Wales.
The discussion looks at how lived experience is transformed into evidence, accountability and real-world impact across areas including maternity services and urgent care.
Episode 2: The Health and Social Care We Want
This episode goes behind the scenes of our national project, with head of insights and engagement Rebecca Lythgoe and participation lead Jenny Mushiringani Monjero sharing how we created inclusive and accessible ways for people to share their experiences.
It explores how trust, accessibility and meaningful engagement helped ensure that voices from across Wales - including those often unheard - were part of the conversation, and how these insights are helping shape future change.
Watch and join the conversation
Episodes will be released regularly and are available to watch online with bilingual subtitles and in British Sign Language (BSL).
We invite you to watch, reflect and be part of the conversation about the future of health and social care in Wales.
